The Lady Kougar C Team hosted the Crown Point Lady Bulldogs in the opener of a girl/boy doubleheader tonight. The game was a makeup from a previous date due to December snowfall. The Lady Bulldogs came in ready for a dogfight. The.opening quarter saw Crown Point take a 10-6 lead. The Kougars would only manage one free throw in the 2nd frame and went into halftime trailing 21-7. After halftime, KV decided to buckle down and match CP’s intensity. The 3rd quarter would be a tug-o-war and the teams would both notch 9 points. The 4th quarter would be a defensive battle as the Kougars tried to use full court pressure to gain some momentum and close the gap. Final from the Den was 35-19. Leading the way was Riley Jones & Tinley Van Meter with 7 each. Maci Schoon 3 and Brooklyn Whitt 2. The C Team takes a 5-1 record into the Christmas Break.
